Incarcerated

Not only do you want my body
You also want my mind
Try to lock up my sanity
And steal what I cant replace
My time
In your eyes
My breathin' is a crime
My heartbeat thunders like a gun
You charged me for eluding the police
Because I allowed my tears to run
F*** these handcuffs on my wrists
I was born with these restraints
Try to be a black man in a world
Where my success feeds your complaints
Try to be a strong man in front of my girl
While I wipe your spit up off my face
Hard to be all I can be
Where all I can be is in an 8x10 space
My daughter will never feel my embrace
My wife will never feel my kiss
25 years in this nightmare
9,125 days I cant relive
But I'm sure I've told you once
And I don't mind telling you again
You can cage me like an animal
But my mind wont do 5 to 10
You can treat me like a criminal
But in my case, you'll never win
All I need out this muthaf*cka
Is some paper and a pen
The King James version for my sins
Maybe a little water and a glass
I'm laughing
You schedule your day
By when I eat and wipe my ass
But one day this shall pass
and we'll both stand before one judge
Then you'll learn
What it's like to be me
When you go to hell
Cause a nigga holds a grudge
